Rules

Here at Big Robot, the number one rule is to have fun – and let others have fun. This might sound easy, but in order to do that, we have to establish a few rules. BY BEING IN THE STORE, YOU AGREE TO THESE RULES.

Update: We recently began allowing M-rated games all day. We’ll make every effort to shield younger kids from M-rated content, but if you are concerned about this, please accompany your child to the store. We cannot guarantee that a guest will not be exposed to M-rated game titles. If you are concerned about your child viewing M-rated game titles on our large screens, please accompany your child to the store and express your concerns.

Store Environment:

  • Customers enjoy a variety of games in Big Robot. Games may be rated E, T, or M. We do not allow any AO-rated games or M-rated games with extreme content, such as Grand Theft Auto, to be played in the Café.
  • M-rated games may be played in the common areas, though every effort will be made to minimize M-rated content.
  • M-rated games with extreme content may be offered for sale to those customers aged 17 and over.

Age Restrictions:

  • Guests 18 and over are allowed to play or purchase any items for sale in the Café.
  • Guests 13-17 may be in the Café unattended. To play M-rated games, guests MUST have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian on file.
  • Guests 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while in the Café.

Rules:

  • Respect the equipment – if you break something, you buy it.
  • Respect your fellow customers and Big Robot employees. NO FOUL LANGUAGE or other offensive behavior. And respect the neighborhood – no loitering.
  • Respect the games – no cheating.
  • No outside food or drink is allowed, other than coffee. No smoking.
  • We’re not responsible for your personal items. Keep an eye on your things.

Violations:

  • Any violation of these rules may result in the suspension or cancellation of your account.
  • Refunds will not be made on any Gametime or monetary balance on your account or for the unused portion of your membership.
  • The management reserves the right to alter these rules in any way. It is the sole discretion of management to determine what constitutes a violation of these rules.
