It’s here, and it’s solid gold! Multicolored or ‘gold’ cards are among the most popular set themes, and every single card in Alara Reborn is gold. It will be the first set in the history of Magic: The Gathering to be 100% multicolored. Booster Pack The booster pack consists of 15 cards, including one rare or Mythic rare, 3 uncommons, 10 commons and one land. One in eight rares is a Mythic rare. $3.74
Intro Pack Theme Decks have been replaced by intro packs. An intro pack is a 41 card theme deck plus one booster pack. Intro packs are designed specifically at helping beginners get into the game and each one includes a premium or foil rare. There are 5 different intro packs. $12.99
Fat Pack The Shards Fat Pack includes an excerpt of the Guide to Planeswalkers, one card box, eight booster packs, and one 20 sided spin down lifecounter/dice. $34.99

Shards is Coming…Friday!
The newest Magic the Gathering expansion card set, SHARDS OF ALARA, will be released Friday and WE WILL HAVE IT IN STOCK! Join us on Friday when we open at 3 pm to be the first folks in the area to try out the newest set of cards, and stick around for a BOOSTER DRAFT from 6 to 9 – $16 gets you 4 boosters, and then we use three boosters (and borrowed mana) to build and play a deck for prizes. It’ll be a blast! We’re also getting a selection of new Intro packs and Tournament decks – prepay to reserve yours today!
Magic Eventide Booster Draft This Friday
Don’t forget – we have a Magic Eventide Booster Draft coming up on September 12 from 6 to 9. $15 to enter, first 8 paid players will participate in an unopened booster draft. Big Robot will loan land cards, but players will keep the cards they draft. PRIZES: 1st gets 3 boosters, 2nd gets 2 boosters, 3 gets 1 booster, and 8th gets one booster.
UPDATE: THIS EVENT WILL BE SANCTIONED BY WIZARDS OF THE COAST. Get your DCI cards here and get nationally ranked!
Magic Winner for July Announced!
Cody took the prize again for July, winning a record 45 games in the month of July against other local Magic the Gathering players. Games played on Mondays and Fridays at Big Robot Game Cafe count towards the monthly totals. Cody has a great artifact deck and a couple other good decks, but he’s always willing to take time out from gaming to teach new players the ins and outs of the game, which can be complicated.
Drop by to play – we have introductory card decks for new players, allowing them to learn the game in a matter of minutes, and booster packs, which allow more experienced players to “pump up” their existing decks or explore some of the new game dynamics introduced with the latest edition, Eventide, which was released on Friday, July 25th.
The new August Standings will start up on August 1st with all games being played in Big Robot counting towards the overall monthly totals. Drop in and play! Big Robot Game Cafe is located at 114 East Main Street in beautiful downtown Tipp City, Ohio.
