Upcoming Game Titles

What games are coming out and when? Here’s a list of the games we’re keeping an eye on. Remember, production schedules slip, so we can’t guarantee release dates, platforms, or whether or not Big Robot Game Cafe will have copies for rental or sale.

Spring 2008

• April 28 - Grand Theft Auto IV (all platforms).  NOTE:  Big Robot will be carrying copies of this game for sale but NOT for in-store play. What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don’t.

Summer 2008

• June 2 - Soul Caliber IV (Xbox 360, PS3).
• August 26 - Saint’s Row 2 (Xbox 360, PS3).

Fall 2008

• September 16 - The Force Unleashed. LucasArts and Spike TV will be working together to promote the game during the weekends of April 4 – 6 and April 11 – 13. At that time, Spike TV will be airing the six Star Wars movies for the first time ever on basic cable. “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is one of the most ambitious projects LucasArts has ever launched. The combination of a great new Star Wars story with revolutionary new technology and game play means more fun than you’ve ever had in the Star Wars universe,” said Peter Hirschmann, Vice-President of Product Development, LucasArts. “We can’t wait until gamers get their hands on it this September.”
